First Friday presents a special piano recital of music dearest to my heart, Bach and Quentin Kim. Three Preludes and Fugues (F# and e minor from Book I, B from Book II) precede a selection of Quentin's shorter pieces (Springtime Glances, the Prelude and Fugue in c# minor dedicated to myself, and the Variations on an Ancient Korean Melody). Closing the program I will play Liszt's rare transcription for solo piano of Schubert's Military March no.1.
