Christopher Grundy and Nathan Carterette return to present a program centered around the great song cycles of Ralph Vaughan Williams: Songs of Travel (poems by Robert Louis Stevenson) and Five Mystical Songs (poems by George Herbert).
Grundy, baritone, will perform both cycles as well as the Five Popular Greek Songs of Maurice Ravel, and selections from Benjamin Britten's famous folk-song arrangements. Carterette will accompany on piano, and conducting a combined choir from Christ Church in Shaker Heights; Church of the Covenant in Cleveland; and Cleveland's Trinity Cathedral. Accompanying on organ is Canon for Music at Trinity, Daniel Hathaway.
Admission is free with a $10 suggested donation, and a reception will follow.
